White Milkglass Antique Apothecary Jar Lid Reverse Painted Label
Beautiful antique milkglass apothecary jar & lid is beautifully labeled “Adeps Lanae” — “wool fat” or Lanolin. It’s empty and ready to hold whatever you want! Gold gilt edged label is reverse-painted on the back of curved glass, which has been inset into a rectangular depression in the jar. It has some areas of discoloration as shown and some areas of roughness along edges. Jar is approx 3-7/8” in diameter x just over 5" tall (including knob); good vintage condition with no chips or cracks noted. Metal lid has a white china knob. Marked on bottom “L.W.T.CO.” — possibly Whitall Tatum Co. Other items shown are not included.
