A delightful pair of French 18th Century period armchairs, totally untouched original examples, in original paint and upholstered in their original tapestries, representing the fables of La Fontaine, with various animals including “the fox and the stork” etc… A little general wear to the tapestries commensurate with their grand age, but generally in nice condition without holes or tears. Both structurally sturdy, and well sprung.
