A rare early 20th Century silver cigarette case including a watch and Vesta case decorated on both side with niello. Curved rectangular case, piano hinge on the left, opened by a blue cabochon button on the right. The front with a niello scene of three young ladies in a garden, above them the dial of the watch. Small button to wind and set the watch. On the back a representation of a broad oval frame with foliate decoration, the silver centre vacant. Gilt interior, elasticated ribbons to retain cigarettes. Inside the front cover the housing for the watch and a Vesta case, the engraved rectangular hinged lid decorated with two horses heads. The corners of the frames reinforced with pierced decorative corners. Small gilt three quarter plate keyless movement with going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Polished steel cylinder, steel escape wheel. Engine turned gilt dial, Arabic numerals, blue steel hands.
