Another little wonder from a workshop with a prolific output. Known to date from the beginnings of the eighteenth century producing a staggering number of designs both of shape and decoration. It seems likely that the workshop, thought to have been located on the east coast of Britain, was that of a Dutchman. This clog would seem to support this supposition, as does the materials used; in this case just mother-o-pearl and brass, but often incorporating tortoiseshell and paste 'gems'.
