Victorian Garnet Gold Drop Earrings A beautiful pair of Victorian Etruscan Revival garnet drop earrings formed of two circular discs, one above the other, each set with a dark red multi facetted garnet.
The garnets are surrounded by millegrain edging with ornate workmanship and elaborate carving. There is a gold facetted bead suspended from the larger of the two discs.
To the reverse the earrings are fitted with long shepherd’s crooks. Weight: 4.9gm. Tested as 15ct Gold. Measurements: 30mm x 10mm (1 1/4″ x 1/2″) (36mm/ 1 1/2″ including the hooks)
They are in very good condition and date from the mid Victorian era, 1860 – 1880. Ref: JR069
