Oh-so-fond of the fascinating reptile, jewelers of the era used its likeness in all forms of jewelry. Curving and coiling in characteristic serpentine fashion, this exotic snake pendant is sure to draw attention whenever you wear it. From the top of its head to the tip of its tail, this remarkable reptile is fancified with an intricate design rendered in 18K yellow gold, the ravishing rose-cut diamond-eyed reptile has a body of 18K that is silver topped and holding thirty-three (33) sparkling rose-cut diamonds. The head of the snake holds a stunning and vibrant natural ruby. Once a brooch I had my skilled goldsmith remove the pin and use the original gold from the pin to creat a bale turning this into a more useful and unisex, pendant. Circa 1880-1890 this rare Victorian brooch is now a wonderful pendant. Shown on a gold chain that is Not included but I would.consider selling to the buyer if this pensant, if they are intersted.
