Mid Century Diamond Platinum Bracelet This is a magnificent French late art Deco style panel bracelet dating from the early 1950s. It is a truly beautiful piece of fine jewellery, handmade by French craftsmen and is composed of round brilliant cut diamonds, transitional cuts and baguette cuts which have been graded as G – I colour, VS1/VS2 clarity with some diamonds SI1/2 clarity.
The bracelet is formed of 3 main panels, each set with a 0.48ct transitional cut diamond (total: 1.44ct), H/I colour VS1/VS2 clarity which are mounted in a rubover setting. A further 105 diamonds are also in a rubover setting; 180 diamonds are round brilliant cuts and are in a grain setting. There are 24 baguette diamonds G – I colour and VS1/2 clarity. Total diamond weight is assessed as 18.15ct.
The sections are linked together for ease of movement ensuring the bracelet is very comfortable to wear. It closes with a concealed push-in clasp and has two “figure-of-eight” locks for added security.
Weight: 70.60gm. Length: 18.3cm x width 2.2cm so it will easily fit a medium sized wrist.
It is stamped with the French platinum state control mark (Dog’s Head) and the clasp tongue is in 18ct white gold with the French state control mark (Eagle’s Head).
This fabulous mid century diamond and platinum bracelet is a true jewel in very good condition and has been professionally re-polished. It is the epitome of mid century glamour and would be a valuable addition to a jewellery collection.
