Early 19th century, possibly Sicilian hoop earrings, 12kt gold, minimalist design, typical of earrings worn by both men and women of the period. They are slightly tricky to get on but once you figure out what to do they are easy to manipulate. You have to turn them on their side and then slide the spokes into your holes. Once on they are very comfortable to wear, I have very small holes in my lobs and I can wear them all day. The balls sit against the back of your earlobs. 27mm in diameter.
