This is a one-of-a- kind jewelry box I designed and worked with a carpenter to create, from a Vintage 1970’s Louis Vuitton travel cosmetic trading case. The case is a Vintage 1970’s authentic Louis Vuitton cosmetic train/travel case. We have added custom solid wood (walnut) trays with dovetail corners, along with a solid walnut base with veneer trim and vintage gilt bronze claw feet. Keeping the integrity of the vintage LV, all trays are removable and the original interior pouch as well as shoulder strap is present which allows you to use this as a travel case as well. Also included is the original LV key giving the ability to lock this box. The buyer has the option to use this as it is, or we can add velvet lining into the trays (color of your choice) and even ring sections to hold your rings. So this did not present as just a cosmetic carrier with wooden jewelry trays, I had him make a base-solid walnut and adding veneer trim for a more regal look. The gilt bronze claw feet I purchased in France for this specific purpose. The case is 8.75” in height, 11.5” in width. The stand/base is 1.5” in height, when on the base the total height is just over 10”. Three (3) lift-out removable trays. LV sells a similar style jewelry box for $20,000. However, their jewelry box is smaller, does not hold as much jewelry, does not have solid wood trays nor a stand/base. Maybe I am biased, but I like mine much better (lol).
